Support across the career spectrum

We recognize that the challenges you face as a midwife and the support you require evolves alongside your experience. Our mission is to provide a dedicated space for midwives to find tailored resources, professional guidance, and emotional support at every milestone. Whether you're attending your first birth or mentoring the next generation, we’re here to support you over the full spectrum of your career.

Early career

In the first five years of your career as a midwife, it’s not uncommon to battle transition shock. The shift from student to primary clinician can be overwhelming, and it’s natural to feel out-of-place. If you ever need to talk to someone, you can call our 24/7 telephone support helpline.

Mid-career

As a mid-career nurse, you often feel like the backbone of the maternity unit. Common challenges such as the 24/7 on call nature of the job, vicarious trauma and feeling a professional plateau can cause frustration. If you ever need to reach out after a particularly long day or just need to talk, we’re available.

Late career

When you’re in the final phase of your midwifery career, it’s important to keep yourself mentally and physically healthy. From chronic pain to burnout, sometimes external support is needed to make sure you can keep practicing at your best.
