Overview

The Black Dog Institute brings together the strength of a medical research institute and a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by poor mental health.

With representatives across the country, our primary focus is the development and dissemination of the knowledge needed to understand, prevent and treat the significant mental health challenges facing the world. All our work is based on scientific and clinical evidence and we always incorporate the voice of lived experience.

We aim to significantly reduce the incidence of mental illness and suicide, remove the stigma and empower all people to live the most mental healthy life possible.
