On 1 September 2015, WorkCover NSW was replaced by three new entities including SafeWork NSW, the new work health and safety regulator. Between them, these cover all the same services and functions you are used to getting from WorkCover. These changes are part of reforms to improve the workers compensation system for both employers and injured workers. SafeWork NSW: offers advice on improving work health and safety; provides licenses and registration for potentially dangerous work; and investigates workplace incidents and enforces work health and safety laws in NSW.
